To build up Chinese reading & writing skills through this set contains 2 volumes from basic level to intermediate level

◎      Designed for literacy development of learners who already have oral competence in Chinese.

◎      The first level book has 14 lessons, each comprising the main text, vocabulary items with annotations and examples, grammar exercise, and additional information.  It has five additional pieces of reading exercise, and comes with a workbook with exercises on sentence pattern, sentence making, error correction, and word puzzles.

◎      The second level book has 12 lessons, each comprising the main text, pattern practice, blank filling, sentence completion, experience sharing, group discussion, and composition exercise.  It has three additional pieces of reading exercise, and comes with a workbook with multiple-choice and open-ended exercises.

◎      Unlike in graded readers, this title does not restrict its organization to the slow and gradual vocabulary and structural development. The selection of texts is based on practical life experience of mature learners.
